CLASS 56 '56127'
WITH SOUND

Hot on the heels of Hornby's digital sound fitted class 60 comes their revamped and greatly improved class 56 diesel locomotives. Originally a Mainline and later a Dapol issued model, Hornby's retooled issue is a big improvement both in appearance and in performance. I have collected a rake of Hornby's latest merry go round wagons especially for hauling by the class 56 and I have no doubt that it will be able to handle them.

Having worked with class 56 loco's for many years, I am not entirely convinced by Hornby's class 56 sound but there again, I was more used to the sound from within the cab rather than from by the lineside which is where I now judge the model. It's good and creates a stir but doesn't impress me in the way that the class 60 does.

I have a total of 5 class 56 loco's in various liveries, just one of which, 56127 as above, is fitted with sound.
