CLASS 55 DELTIC D9006
IN EARLY TWO-TONE BR GREEN LIVERY
Released with almost the same
catalogue number as my Bachmann sound-fitted 55001 St Paddy,
this version of D9006 in the early two-tone BR Green livery but
without yellow warning panels, was available only in limited
numbers. I'm not entirely sure of the reasoning behind its
release but it may well have been a cancelled commission order.
Whatever the reason the early BR Green livery makes a nice
change.
As with all Bachmann Deltic locomotives it is a silky smooth and
very capable performer and is seen above hauling a mixed rake of
ten Bachmann BR MK1 coaches across the viaduct on the Selby
Garden Railway.
